• Cleaning grease stains from clothing and carpets – surely you know the old trick – if you stain your clothes with a greasy food and immediately sprinkle with salt, there won’t be stains in the fabric. The same you can do to clean the carpet, the tablecloth and all other textiles.

• Cleaning of greasy dishes – to cope easily with greased pan, pour the superfluous grease, sprinkle salt all over the bottom and wait 2-3 minutes to absorb, than just wipe with a paper towel.

• Polish the tarnished copper utensils and surfaces – prepare a thick paste of salt and water and rub the tarnished copper. Wipe with a cloth soaked in vinegar.

• Whitening of darkened silver – Rub the silver jewelry and utensils with slightly damp salt and rinse with water after 5-10 minutes.

• Cleaning the burnt stains from the iron – sprinkle sea-salt on a piece of paper and pass the hot iron on top. Stains will disappear and your clothes will not stick again.

• Remove the limestone stains from the aquarium. Rub the inside of the glass with salt and rinse well before returning the fish. Do not use iodized salt.

• Cleaning stains from wine – the same technique as for oily stains – sprinkle with salt and leave for a few minutes – it will absorb the liquid and the washing of the clothing will be much easier.

• Remove the water stains from wood – if by a wet glass remains an ugly stain on the table or counter; rub the place with a mixture of olive oil and salt. • Leave for an hour and wipe with a dry cloth.

• Whitening the faded cotton or linen – put the fabrics to boil for an hour in water to which you’ve added a few pinches of salt and baking soda.

• Remove stains of sweat – to 250 ml of hot water, add four tablespoons salt. Rub the stain with a sponge soaked in the solution.

• Cleaning the blood stains from cotton fabrics – soak the garment in cold salted water for 30 minutes. Wash at low temperature. Put the cloth in boiling water for an hour afterwards.

• Maintenance of rattan baskets and furniture – to bleach yellowed wicker products and prolong their life scrub it with a stiff brush dipped in hot salted water.

• Return the color of faded curtains – wash curtains in salted water and rinse well. This will enhance their color.

• Cleaning stains from eggs – if you need to clean the egg stain on a garment or simply want to wash more easily the dried yolks vessels, soak the dirty things in warm salted water for 15 minutes.

• Cleaning stains from coffee and tea form the cups – if you have forgotten your coffee a few days and drink has been colored the cup, rub the stain with salt and then wash with dish soap.
